  Hi, my name is John Hughes.  I’ve been working in professional kitchens for over 35 years now and until November 2007, my wife, Cynthia, and I owned and operated the internationally acclaimed restaurant “Windows on the Water”, located in Kennebunk, Maine.

  I am now happily semi-retired and am taking time to enjoy what life has in store for me.  But my love for food and cooking has led me to begin to write about all things food.  At the request of many friends, I am also conducting “In-Home Cooking Demonstration Dinners” and “One-on-One Cooking Classes” in the Southern Maine and Seacoast of New Hampshire area.
